Arctic Bath

The floating hotel

PMmedia Adv.
The newly opened Arctic Bath hotel is one of those places that seem to come out of a dream. It is in Harads, in Swedish Lapland, on the Lule River, and it is a floating hotel. In winter, the building is stable over the frozen waters, while the warmer months offer guests the experience of admiring the midnight sun in a floating room. The idea of a space that unites these unique characteristics arose in 2010 and initially involved a glass structure on a ferry. Meanwhile, architects Bertil Hagström and Johan Kauppi took over the project in 2013 and designed a circular and floating building that is now Arctic bath. The Hotel has a spa with aesthetic and relaxing treatments, hot tubs and saunas. The possibility of taking a cold outdoor bath, observing the aurora borealis, can be the icing on the cake of any luxurious and unforgettable trip.
